Love when celebs voice message each other…
So, the Met Gala normally doesn’t have drama. But this year, there was a tad — well, kind of.

Anyway, the two went to the same afterparty at The Standard in NYC, where Cardi gave a little speech about everyone having fun.

HOWEVER…a fan caught Billie mouthing the word’s “so weird” during Cardi’s speech.
Obviously, that ignited a firestorm of fandom beefs/Twitter drama:
Billie, however, DM’d Cardi today. Cardi shared the DM exchange on Twitter. “I hate the internet because one, how do y’all turn one of the most lit parties into drama?” Cardi said. “Two, ‘Ocean Eyes’ is the song I cater to my daughter. Three, Billie is my baby. Yesterday from the Met to the party, everything was drama-free. Why do y’all wanna turn everything into mess?”

Billie voice-messaged Cardi, saying. “Oh my God, I was so worried you were gonna see that. I was fucking calling the people around you weird, because everyone was fucking coming around shoving their phones into your ass,” Billie said. “I was like, ‘Just look at her with your eyes!'”
Cardi also replied via voice message. “The internet is trying to divide us. They don’t understand that you’re my baby!”
Billie then replied, but Cardi did not share the audio. We just know that Cardi replied, “I hate the innanet.”
So, there you have it. They cleared the air. They clarified. And now we’ll stream “Ocean Eyes” for good luck for 10 years. Bye!
