Bob Saget has passed away.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that “deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
An accomplished comedian and actor, Saget was best known for his role as Danny Tanner in the sitcom Full House, which ran for 8 seasons from 1987 to 1995.
He also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos during the show’s most iconic era, and he provided the voice for the “future” Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother.
Even though Saget was associated with plenty of family-friendly media, he was equally known for his standup routine, which mostly veered into adult-oriented territory.
Saget stayed in the public eye in the years leading up to his death — like his appearance on The Masked Singer‘s fourth season, in which he competed as “The Squiggly Monster.”
At the time of his passing, Saget was on a stand-up tour that last stopped in Jacksonville.
“I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight,” he tweeted early Sunday morning before promoting his upcoming 2022 dates. “I’m happily addicted again to this shit.”
