An accomplished comedian and actor, Saget was best known for his role as Danny Tanner in the sitcom Full House, which ran for 8 seasons from 1987 to 1995.

He also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos during the show’s most iconic era, and he provided the voice for the “future” Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother.

Saget hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.

Even though Saget was associated with plenty of family-friendly media, he was equally known for his standup routine, which mostly veered into adult-oriented territory.

To wit: He wrote and directed a spoof of the classic documentary March of the Penguins, the ultra-raunchy Farce of the Penguins, back in 2007.

Saget stayed in the public eye in the years leading up to his death — like his appearance on The Masked Singer‘s fourth season, in which he competed as “The Squiggly Monster.”
