There are moments from the ceremony that still have people talking, like Amy Schumer’s joke about Kirsten Dunst being a seat filler.

While explaining how many people it takes to put the Academy Awards together, Amy mentioned the role seat fillers play.

For those who don’t know, seat fillers are used to ensure the audience always looks full. So, if someone runs to the bathroom or steps away from their seat while the cameras are rolling, a seat filler is called in to fill their seat until the person returns.

To give the audience an example, Amy walked towards Oscar-nominated actor Kirsten Dunst, mistaking her for a seat filler, and proceeded to ask her to get up.

Kirsten looked confused while also laughing at the ordeal…

…and so did her husband Jesse Plemons as Amy congratulated him on his performance in Power of the Dog – a movie he starred in with Kirsten.

And while many realized it was clearly a joke, others weren’t quite sure.

Some people just weren’t amused by the joke:

More awkward moments at the Oscars: Amy Schumer, with one of the most unfunny jokes of all time, moved Kirsten Dunst out of her seat, calling her a “seat filler,” prompting husband Jesse Plemons to say “you know that was my wife?”
