It’s hard out there, even for celebs.

Hilary Duff gave Tinder a shot back in 2015, stating at one point that she was “talking to probably about nine guys.”
Duff said, “Joining Tinder was a bit of a social experiment, just something unexpected to do. I have a lot of friends that are on Tinder and I was like, ‘I’m going to get on!’ And then it became this big, funny thing — but real.”
Rordrigo said, “I had Raya for a second and it was so vomit. Like, I could not.”
3.
Shaquille O’Neal tried using Tinder but didn’t have much luck because the person didn’t believe it was actually him.
Shaq said, “I signed up for Tinder, put in my name, and I tried to make a person meet me, and they didn’t believe it was me. I was like, ‘It’s me, it’s Shaq.’ And she said, ‘Shaq would never be on this.’ So I had to hit delete. I had to delete my account.”
4.
Zac Efron tried Tinder back in 2016, but he didn’t draw any swipes of interest because people assumed his account was fraudulent.
Efron said, “Amazingly, when I signed up for Tinder, nobody swiped me! They thought [my profile] was fake.”
Koshy said, “I’m swiping very hard, these fingers are tired… I’m on the Raya, so find me on there.” She added that she’s looking to “manifest someone” who has “honesty, humor, and ease.”
Perry claimed to be “really deep on Tinder” in the months following a breakup with John Mayer.
In 2016, Handler said, “I’m not attached to anybody, I’m single, and I think that’s what it’s for — when you’re in cities where you’re gonna bounce. I’m at a hotel, I can interview them at a bar.”
Hale said, “There’s a lot of familiar faces on this app. It’s so funny, you get on it and half of the people I already know or have been on dates with. It’s fun though!”
Rousey tried to be less identifiable by creating an alter ego named Brynn Campbell, but apparently it didn’t help. Rousey said, “The only person I’m making out with is my dog.”

Eric Stonestreet tried Bumble and Tinder back in 2016 and said he had some success meeting people on the apps.
Stonestreet said, “Yes, I have a Tinder account. Now I’ve done Bumble and I’ve tried this other one, and the way I justified it is that because I’m on TV, I shouldn’t be eliminated from participating in what’s going on in the world. But people are always like, ‘I can’t believe you’re on a dating app!'” Stonestreet also said he actually met up with people and added, “I’ve had all varying degrees of fun.”
Shipka said, “Oh, I love my Raya. I’ve gone on dates from it, but nothing that’s come to fruition. We’ll see.”
Dunham said her stint was a brief 20 minutes.
Barrymore said, “I did terribly…I got stood up and I didn’t match with anyone. And my friends gave me this sort of bloated sense of false confidence. They were like, ‘You should try it. You will do great.’ It was a car wreck.” Barrymore added that the person who stood her up owned a restaurant, but as for the others, “It was fun, and yes, there were lots of exciting people.”
Biles and Owens began chatting on Raya and hung out shortly before the pandemic lockdown began. Owens didn’t recognize Biles at first, which he says was “one of the things she liked.” The two became Instagram official in August of 2020.
